I am having a problem. It’s not a normal problem. It’s the kind of problem that you go see a very high-priced therapist about. I am hyperventilating because of photos on Twitter. Photos that I orchestrated and practically choreographed and then demanded be leaked. Photos that were absolutely my idea. Photos that made me see white-hot rage every time I look at them.

Yesterday, if you asked me if I was jealous of any of my ex’s groupies, I would have told you to fuck right off with that noise. But today? Not today, Satan. Today even knowing what I know now, I feel the cold pulse of jealousy running through me every time I see a new shot of Vinnie and the cute little actress who climbed him like a tree.

Slamming my phone down, I put my head in my hands and tried to breathe.

Vinnie left you. He left you and became a literal monster. He has killed people. Killed them and then asked you to hide it and clean it up. He cheated on you instead of supporting you during a terrible time of your life. You. Deserve. Better.

But my stupid traitorous heart won’t listen to reason. I can’t dwell on the night we lost each other anymore without thinking of the hundreds of nights where we found ourselves in each other. The good times we had, the raw animal chemistry, the promises--they all come flooding back to me one after another.

I see a notification pop up from The Dawson Dirt that an exclusive video has been acquired of Pop Icon Vinnie Quake and actress/philanthropist Sandrina. I hate myself for clicking on it. The recording isn’t high quality and the lighting is dim until a spotlight clicks on and I see him. He’s standing in the middle of the dance floor, tufts of his chocolate-brown hair are sticking out from underneath a leather pageboy hat. His shirt is 100% mesh and he’s wearing tight grey pants that cup his ass like a lover’s caress. His sculpted cheekbones and big, muscled arms make him look like some sort of bondage-wet dream. When he moves, he glides effortlessly, his body gyrating with the beat. He stalks her around the dance floor, his predatory nature is evident to anyone who knows what he is. Everyone else probably thought he was just being confident. He pulls her into his arms, inhaling her scent at the base of her neck. His bracelet flashing easily in the light before they whirl away from each other, each dancing, gyrating, pulsating with the music like magnets separated before crashing back into each other.

The video ends as he dips her into an embrace, his hands covering her body and his lips on hers and I sit down, biting my lip so hard it bleeds. My mind says “the asshole isn’t worth it! Go back to hating him!” but my heart, my stupid traitorous heart says: mine to hate, mine to love. Mine. Mine. Mine.

I do whatever it takes to protect what is mine.
